Along with watercolours there will be a selection of artist light-fast waterproof and water-soluble fibre tipped pens and acrylic ink with traditional dip pens available to use at this workshop.

Everyone will work on their individual paintings of their choice, either from their own reference material or from a selection of pictures available on the day.

Throughout the day Ingrid will give plenty of individual guidance and advice.

‘Paint A Watercolour Landscape’

‘Loosen Up Your Watercolour Painting’

Saturday 8th June

This workshop is not suitable for beginners.

Would you like to paint in a looser style?

This workshop is aimed at people who are already comfortable painting in watercolours but would like to ‘loosen’ up their work.

The workshop will start with a short talk and demonstration by Ingrid before participants work on their own individual ‘looser’ paintings.

During the workshop you will be encouraged to experiment with your brushstrokes, the way you apply the paint, to simplify details and to have fun with the unpredictable nature of watercolours!

£35 per person

‘Using A Sketchbook’

Friday 11th October

This workshop is not suitable for beginners.

At this watercolour workshop you will be working in either in your own sketchbook or on sheets of watercolour paper.

Everyone will work on individual studies of their choice, either from their own photographs or from a selection of pictures available on the day.

The workshop will start with a short talk by Ingrid about some of the different uses of a sketchbook.

Your sketchbook can be a great place to explore creative ideas, new colour mixes, mediums, styles or techniques without the pressure of working on a ‘finished’ painting. It can be a useful tool in simplifying details in a photograph, helping you to plan what to leave in, take out or change.

Throughout the day Ingrid will give plenty of individual guidance and advice.

£35 per person

‘Experiment with Watercolours & Mixed Media’

Two Day Individual Painting Workshop

Friday 8th & Saturday 9th November

This workshop is not suitable for beginners.

Have fun experimenting with watercolours and mixed media.

The workshop will start with a short talk and demonstration by Ingrid looking at using different techniques and mediums that will be available for you to use over the two days.

The group will then paint a demonstration led study using various mediums before working on individual watercolour and mixed media paintings. At this workshop some may choose to work on one individual painting whilst others may decide to work on several studies experimenting with different mediums in each one.

Some of the materials available to use during the workshop include; wax relief, papers, granulation medium, texture medium, modelling paste, oil pastels, soft pastels, inks, salt and cling-film. A few of the techniques will require drying overnight before continuing with the painting on the second day.

£85 per person
